Association for Migration Research (GAR)

Association for Migration Research (GAR) was founded in Istanbul in 2017 by a group of academics working in the field of migration. Since then, it has been carrying out activities to produce critical knowledge, to support research and researchers in the field of migration, to make visible the rights violations experienced by migrants and refugees through the production of rights-based knowledge, and to contribute evidence-based policymaking.
