The association carries out support, advocacy, and awareness-raising work with a queer feminist approach, aiming to make sexual violence visible and open to discussion, and to combat it.
Working from the approach that “Sexual violence can occur wherever there is hierarchy. Anyone can be a perpetrator or a victim of sexual violence. Sexual violence is learned, which means it can also be prevented! Change in the fight against sexual violence starts with me,” its work is disseminated through the organisation’s website and social media, as well as through tools such as the Visual Archive and the “Switch It” (Öyle Değil Böyle) rights-based media language project.
Individuals who have been subjected to any form of sexual violence, their relatives, and others in need may apply to the association to request referral and legal counselling support.
Collaboration and consultancy can be requested for producing rights-based news and visual content on sexual violence, sexual abuse, dating violence, and sexual violence in the media/social media, as well as for producing awareness-raising workshops and events on sexual abuse of animals; for requests for materials and resources; and for collaboration and consultancy in developing protective and preventive work. Collaboration and consultancy can also be requested in areas such as gender, gender-based violence, sexual health, children’s bodily rights, and youth work.
Partnership and collaboration can be requested for rights-based advocacy and for national and/or international network-building work on the above topics. Any form of communication and collaboration can be requested — with municipalities and public institutions in particular, as well as with individuals and organisations providing support services to survivors of sexual violence — on awareness-raising work, protective and preventive work, and support services under the heading of sexual violence.
