Founded in 2017 by the collective that published magazines such as Express in 1994, Roll in 1997, and Bir+Bir in 2010, the Bir+Bir Culture and Art Association’s main areas of activity are digital publishing and the rights-based journalism carried out on the 1+1 Forum website. Much like the 1+1 Express magazine, which is still published quarterly, 1+1 Forum also works to monitor, publicise, and document a wide-ranging spectrum of social rights struggles and examples of solidarity.
