The Democracy, Peace and Alternative Politics Research Association (DEMOS) produces semi-academic knowledge that offers an alternative to the mainstream, across various fields of social science, on topics such as peace, transitional justice, memory, identity, and the Middle East — first and foremost on peace, a right belonging to everyone — through a grassroots, subject-centred gender perspective.
Founded in 2015, the association is open to sharing experience with other civil society organisations on conducting research in conflict/post-conflict settings and on podcast production. Its podcast programmes can also be accessed at https://anchor.fm/demostansesler.
