An independent and impartial civil society organisation, the Ismail Beşikçi Foundation (İBV) is grounded in freedom of thought and expression. It upholds respect for rights and freedoms, embraces democratic values, and adopts the principle that all forms of thought must be able to coexist. The bulk of the Foundation’s work consists of scholarly research in Kurdology. Our Foundation has been operating from its Istanbul headquarters since 2011, and our Diyarbakır representative office was established in 2014. Both our Istanbul headquarters and our Diyarbakır representative office remain actively engaged in their work.
