Providing legal aid against sexual violence towards women since 1997, the association’s other activities can be summarised as issuing press statements, visiting prisons, following legal proceedings, filing criminal complaints, and organising awareness-raising meetings and panels.
The association argues that official violence against women is political in nature and develops within a systematic structure made up of law enforcement, the prosecution, the judiciary, and the Forensic Medicine Institute, the “official expert body.”
The organisation is open to applications from women who have been subjected to state-perpetrated violence during detention, street protests, or home raids, seeking support.
