The Migration Monitoring Association (Göç-İz) was founded in Istanbul in 2016 with the aim of developing effective social solidarity among people affected by migration in general, and forced migration in particular, and of amplifying displaced people’s demands for a dignified life.

To this end, the association aims to support internally displaced persons in their pursuit of justice, to make visible in the public eye the fundamental rights violations caused by forced displacement practices, to raise awareness of the social, economic, and psychological problems experienced by citizens during the process of resettlement, and to contribute to the recognition and redress of the grievances of people who have suffered serious human rights violations. In this context, its main focus is to support access to fundamental rights and to develop social solidarity for people forcibly displaced between 1984 and 2016.
