Kırmızı Şemsiye (Red Umbrella) is a civil society organisation that informs, mobilises, and organises sex workers in Turkey — regardless of gender identity and sexual orientation, race, colour, language, religion, or sect, and regardless of whether they work in registered or unregistered settings — around the human rights violations, social exclusion, criminalisation, and stigmatisation they face, the problems they encounter in sexual and reproductive health, and all other areas concerning sex workers; and that carries out advocacy and lobbying work with the public and with authorities in line with sex workers’ needs and demands.
