Our association is a rights-based civil society organisation founded in the final months of 2017 by a group of volunteers coming together, working in the Sur district in the centre of Diyarbakır. The reason we placed Sur at the centre of our work is the armed conflicts that took place between 2015 and 2016 and the trauma these conflicts caused. When we began our work, we founded the organisation with the aim of reducing the long-term effects of this trauma by focusing on children and carrying out predominantly psychosocial support work. The focus of our work is children aged 4–18 affected by the conflicts that took place in the Sur district of Diyarbakır.
