Founded in Diyarbakır in late 2018, the association continues its work to combat all forms of social, political, social, cultural, economic, sexual, and psychological violence against women; to carry out work aimed at eliminating all forms of discrimination against women; to develop and implement projects to promote gender equality; to carry out work aimed at strengthening civil society and women’s organisations; and to protect nature and natural life, and to promote and realise the building of an ecological way of life and a culture of democracy and peace.
Our rights-based areas of work include lobbying relevant institutions and organisations for the application of positive discrimination in laws and practices concerning women — particularly legal regulations that directly affect women; building civil power and advocating for the implementation of regulations that will prevent women from being victimised and/or having their rights violated through laws and practices; and carrying out work aimed at women’s rights.
