LİSTAG (LGBTİ+ Aileleri ve Yakınları Derneği)

LISTAG - Association of Families and Friends of LGBTI+ in Turkey

Founded in Istanbul in 2008 by a group of people whose children, siblings, relatives and loved ones are LGBTI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, and +), LISTAG became an association in 2019 and has since been conducting support and solidarity activities. LISTAG dreams of a future where all people’s sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression are freely expressed, valued, and respected. 

To realize this vision, LISTAG 

SUPPORTS families and loved ones of LGBTI+ persons by raising their awareness, 

Provides COUNSELLING to both its members and other civil society organizations, institutions, and companies on the specific problems and challenges faced by LGBTI+s, 

ADVOCATES for LGBTI+s to achieve full equality, to create egalitarian laws and policies, and to raise awareness and create change in the society.
