The Kocaeli Solidarity Academy (KODA) is an initiative based in Kocaeli that started its activities in 2016 and became an association in 2017. It has an academic purpose and works towards peace and democracy. KODA is struggling for responsible professional conduct in intellectual and scientific work.

KODA is open to cooperation with other civil society organisations within the framework of their struggle for freedom of expression and academic freedom. Although it does not have a mechanism for individual applications, its solidarity network is open to everyone.
