Diyarbakır Institute for Political and Social Research (DİSA)

Founded on March 8, 2010, in Diyarbakır, Diyarbakır Institute for Political and Social Research (DİSA) works to bring certain issues to the attention of the relevant groups by publishing researche and to contribute to the information sharing by organizing conferences, symposiums, panels, workshops, and reports. In doing so, DİSA seeks to enhance egalitarian social sensitivity and develop dialogue in a way to enable peaceful coexistence.

DİSA aims not only to serve as a center for researchers but also to contribute to the formation of policies for the future by carrying out in-situ, objective, and evidence-based research that promotes the social and political development of the society. Among the subjects that DİSA particularly focuses on and works to produce information are the right to mother tongue, peace and justice, the right to sustainable life, and gender equality. To date, DİSA has published numerous Turkish, Kurdish, and English reports on these fields.
