Human Rights Association Diyarbakır Branch

The core area of activity of the Human Rights Association’s Diyarbakır Branch is to carry out effective advocacy in order to prevent and/or eliminate human rights violations. In this context, the association aims to raise public awareness/sensitivity regarding human rights violations through various campaigns and events. Providing legal counselling and support to victims of rights violations in case of need is another main area of activity of the association.

The Diyarbakır Branch of the Human Rights Association, whose headquarters was established in 1986, started its activities in March 1988. Apart from short-term closures due to official decisions in the context of state of emergency conditions, the branch has resumed its activities without interruption until today.

Citizens who have suffered any kind of human rights violation can request support from the association.
