Founded in 1996, Diyarbakır Association for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets (DKVD) is engaged in the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural and natural assets and the documentation of social memory and organizes trainings and social activities to raise awareness on related issues.

Culture and nature are the founding pillars of life. Culture providing our spiritual nourishment, nature is the main element of our physical existence. DKVD thus considers the protection of cultural and natural assets as a rights-based approach and operates in line with this vision. DKVD is open to cooperation or experience sharing in the protection and development of cultural assets and archives.
