Following the Haklara Destek Program, which supported 48 organisations, Eylem Ertürk drew up a report titled, “The Shrinking Democratic Space and Covid-19 Pandemic in Turkey 2020-2021 from the Perspective of 48 Rights-Based Civil Society Organisations”. This report will be launched during an online panel on Friday, June 10, at 2 p.m., to which all stakeholders from civil society are invited.
The report brings together the observations by the project team members and guides who have monitored the capacity development of the organisations supported by Haklara Destek, as well as the solutions recommended by civil society representatives to mitigate the narrowing of democratic spaces and the COVID-19 pandemic. The report particularly explores how the pandemic restrictions affected organisations’ experiences, focus areas and target groups over the last two years from a local perspective.
